Its not often these days of fast moving information, Ipods, and the internet that people take the time to interact with their fellow man no less strangers. On Saturday April 9, 2011, while traveling on 64 on the east side of Fayetteville, TN, I was overcome by a medical event that fortunately I was able to pull my Gold Wing over to the side of the road, dismount and nearly pass out. My wife Shirley, distraught over the rapid changing events, as was I, were comforted and taken care of by a great group of Bikers that appeared almost immediately until the emergency medical folks arrived on scene.
If it were not the business card given to Shirley by Ghost I presume , I would not be able to send the much deserved Thank You.
In a nutshell, you tended to me, helped my wife, got my bike to the hospital and were just amazing. This is a trait that most social groups today just don't have but in my 42 years of riding, is ever more increasing in today's motorcycle riding groups. You guys are tops in my book.
I was not in great shape at the time and was not able to meet each of you properly with a hand shake so please let this note be my "Its a pleasure and honor to meet each and everyone of you."
Oh. the little medical event turned out to be just a drop in blood pressure caused by medication and the Good Lord was there with us and got me off the road just in time. We were back on the road and heading back to Huntsville a couple of hours later.
God Bless you and your group. You were our God sent Angels on Saturday and will never forget you.
May the wind fill your sails, and God hold you safe in his hands during your rides.
